Job Description

We are working with a global manufacturer who are seeking a Warehouse Planner to join their team based in Cambridge.The main purpose of the Warehouse Planner is to assist the planning division in achieving Quality, Cost, and Delivery goals within predetermined timeframes In order to achieve market-leading lead times, 100% delivery performance, and top-notch customer service,this function will require coordinating with all departments across operations.Responsibilities:

  • Managing orders throughout the process and any challenges, including looking into the root reasons and coordinating with the teams in charge of logistics, production, supply chain, and customer operations to fulfil OTIFPs (and requests) to the best of theirabilities.
  • Backlog upkeep, making sure customers are informed and new dates are filled in.
  • Using the levels 1-4 and salesforce to support both internal and external customers and ensure high levels of customer care.
  • Managing the adherence to the printer and spare parts schedule
  • Stock machine management and inventory reduction
  • Handling emergency situations by rearranging the work and, if necessary, changing the material needs
  • Managing lead times and any challenges, which includes looking into the root reasons and coordinating with the teams in charge of logistics, production, supply chain, and customer operations to meet the customers specified dates the first time.
  • Handling and executing capacity adjustments to the shipping calendars and hour schedules.
  • Forecasting against the workload and resources (using the annualised hours plan, for example).
  • Supporting the MES system.
  • Provide help to the planning manager or team leader in creating and carrying out the planning strategy. Assist in reporting manufacturing statistics.
Requirements:
  • Strong PC and system abilities such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office; Cognos; and experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, ideally Oracle and ASCP

  • Analytical approach that is sound.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
Background ChecksDue to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years employment/educational references - these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
