Job Description

Recruitment Hunters are recruiting for a Tier4 Visa Compliance professional working for in the international education sector (Focusing on Tier 4 Visa Compliance/UKVI) - The Immigration & Compliance Visa Assistance Officer role is a new varied role working for a major International educational client based in Cambridge.Main Responsibilities: - Visa Compliance - Tier 4

  • Design the processes and workflow of delivery of visa assistance service to direct applicants from initial contact to submission of visa application - (Tier 4)
  • Provide clear communications with prospective students on visa requirements in both written and oral form
  • Guide applicants and their financial sponsors on preparing documentations required for visa application
  • Conduct compliance interview with prospective students as necessary to assess applicants intention to study
  • Vet applications including verifying completeness & validity of specific documentations before submission
  • Assist applicants in completing and submitting their visa applications from their home country or within the UK
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date case notes and statistics in line with internal procedures and OISC guidelines
  • Work closely with Direct Sales Team, Admissions Team and centres to share information on individual student cases subject to the firms policy & OISC guidelines
  • Assist with submission of Administrative Review in the event of visa refusal
  • Ensure OISC and GDPR compliance in all the dealings of applicants application including confidential financial and personal information
  • Accurately interpret and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant Home Office legislation and regulations as well as good practice within the sector
  • Maintain the guidance and information available to prospective students across all publications, including information contained on the firms website
  • Liaise with external agencies when necessary such as UKVI, Home Office commercial partners, UKCISA and partner universities.
    • Other Duties - Immigration & Compliance
  • Work with the Head of Immigration Compliance Services, Direct Sales Team and Admissions Team on initiatives to enhance the international student experience at multiple centres
  • Undertake regular training and continuing professional development through attendance of conferences, peer networks and workshops
  • Traveling to other centres may be required
    • Person Specification
  • Educated to degree level, the position of Visa Assistance Officer requires a positive attitude to assist direct applicants navigating the visa application process under Tier 4 or Short-Term Study visa routes
  • The successful applicant will have a strong track record of administrative work, preferably in an international or private education context, have experience of student immigration systems (Tier 4 and Short-term Study visa)
  • An ability to work using ones own initiative as well as being a good team player is a pre-requisite
  • Evidence of technical understanding of the UK student visa system would be a significant advantage
  • Experience or knowledge of OISC Code of Standards would be ideal
  • The post-holder must be a confident user of Microsoft Office applications and student data systems (training for the firms CRM and student data system will be provided)
  • Strong ability to process information combined with high level of attention to detail
  • Experience gained within a customer services environment would be ideal
  • Ability to speak other language(s) would be an advantage - Desirable
  • Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check
    • The Visa Compliance role is a permanent position based in Central Cambridge. Working Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30.
