Job Description

Trainee Field Service EngineerSalary Circa: Negotiable (DOE) + 15% Bonus Depending On Person and Company Performance + Pension + 30 days holiday + Stats + Company Shut down at Xmas + Laptop + Company Car + Private Healthcare for You and Your Partner and Discounted for ChildrenLocation: Oxford, UK (Home/ Field Based Position) - UK based field work an average of 3 days per weekThe requirements of the Trainee Field Service EngineerEssential:

  • Educated to A-Level / HNC/ HND minimum or ideally a degree, in a Chemistry, or Scientific related field.
  • Experience of working in a GXP or compliant analytical laboratory environment.
  • Full, valid UK driving license.
  • Valid UK working permit or visa, with a minimum 12-month renewal date.
    • Advantageous:
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following analytical techniques: Dissolution, HPLC, UV Spectroscopy, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC).
    • The role of the Trainee Field Service Engineer:
  • Applicants should exhibit the ability to cope with handling multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising the quality of each individual task and must be able to work as an integral part of onsite service and calibration teams.
  • The on-site work involves the scheduled calibration and qualification of instrumentation and ranges from basic mechanical testing to comprehensive instrument validations using analytical chemistry methodologies.
  • Execute Maintenance and Validation Services at client sites across the UK.
  • Provide effective client response services involving attending client sites for instrument Troubleshooting and Repair.
  • Maintain customer support and calibration equipment.
  • Assist in installation and qualification of new equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of company run training courses both in house and at client sites.
  • Assist in the development and execution of Maintenance and Validation services for instrument techniques.
