Job Description

The successful Technical Writer will join a dynamic, friendly and supportive team where you can expect a structured career path with a company which is committed to developing their employees.As a Technical Author, youll ensure that all engineering documentation (policies, procedures, manuals, specifications etc) is produced and maintained appropriately to conform to all the necessary standards.   • In conjunction with Engineering staff, plan, develop, organise, write and edit operational procedures, manuals and high quality technical content
  • Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy documents
  • Administer and maintain a comprehensive library of technical documentation
  • Analyse documents to maintain consistency of style & content
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
  • Requirements of Technical Writer
  • Previous experience in a Technical Writer or Documentation Controller role.
  • Ideally, qualified to a degree level in an Engineering or Science or related field
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to portray information effectively using graphics and photos
  • Ideally, experience within a technical medical device environment
  • Experience of using Requirement Management Tools
  • An understanding of risk documentation (FMEA)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills.
