You will have a varied and interesting role, selling both capital and reagents into a variety of customer segments.About the roleYou will be accountable for the sales of BD Immunocytometry and BD Pharmingen products by direct sales activities, the aim being to grow and develop the sales revenue in the territory. The focus for this person will be in selling flow cytometry instrumentationand associated reagents into clinical, research and industrial markets (pharmaceutical and biotech).Main responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure the growth targets for the BDB business are met on their territory within the BD product ranges through direct negotiation, sales activities, attendance at exhibitions, organisation of on site meetings/demonstrations and technical support.
  • To participate in sales meetings, providing up to date and accurate information about the sales territory
  • To generate regular reports for the BD Biosciences marketing team (both local and European) presenting the trends, opportunities and threats for the organisation from the market place.
This sales territory includes Cambridge and East Anglia. This role is a hybrid of field and work from home.About youThe successful individual will be educated to degree level or equivalent in either cell biology, immunology, haematology or a related subject and/or have several years laboratory experience. Experience with flow cytometry would be a distinct advantage butis not crucial.Although sales experience is desirable, it is not a must provided you have a strong technical background as training will be provided. You must be motivated to achieve individual and team sales targets, be a great teammate and have strong coordinating andinterpersonal skills.Whats on offer:There will be support and development to realise the successful applicants full potential.
