We have offices in Cambridge, USA and China and offer over 400,000 products, including antibodies, proteins, peptides, small molecules and ELISA kits, which we provide to major research institutions and biotech, biopharma and pharma organisations around the globe.Technical Marketing Specialist - The Role:Reporting to the commercial manager, this team member will take ownership of technical support within the company, managing enquiries and cases from end to end. This is usually an office based role but can be carried out from home during the present COVID-19 working directives. You will be responsible for providing in house technical support for customers and distributors alike in consultation with our manufacturing partners and lab based in China. Additionally, there is opportunity to assist our marketing team with management of our social media output and other content-based marketing tasksWith our main business focused on supply of primary antibodies for Western Blot and IHC-P this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded scientist to move into a customer focused scientific role. We offer the opportunity to use your scientific skills and experience whilst gaining commercial experience and an understanding of how the industry works in a fast paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial company.Technical Marketing Specialist - Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical product support to customers via email through our CRM system and over the telephone- Provide technical support for all distributors globally and supply them with technical data as requested- Manage customer complaints acting as lynch pin between customer and manufacturer to resolve the matter to customers’ satisfaction- Ensure all relevant customer information is entered onto the company’s CRM system- Research information needed for customers and commercial team using available resources- Assist and support our colleagues in external offices with information and enquiries- Manage the company email inbox, assigning tasks to relevant staff members- Assess quality of published product data on a case by case basis- Support our data entry team with technical information- Support Marketing team with social media output, identifying trends in the market and ‘hot products’ that need additional marketing exposure- Potential to take on additional marketing tasks according to experienceTechnical Marketing Specialist – Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:- Good level of computer literacy and happy to learn to work with new systems- Good Microsoft office skills. Good Excel skills essential but no need to be an advanced user- Excellent personal and communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and via written work- Second language an advantage but not essential- Excellent time keeping, time management and organizational skills- Attention to detail and an enthusiasm to complete tasks quickly and efficiently- Happy to work in a small, fast moving team and adapt to changing environment found in a rapidly growing, small business- Enthusiasm to learn and take on new tasks with an enquiring outlook on the sector- Degree in life sciences preferred but will consider a candidate with relevant laboratory experience- Knowledge of WB, IHC-P, IF and ELISA techniques both theoretical and preferably practical- Preferably 1-3 years lab-based experience in a pathology, biochemistry or similar environment- Practical experience in other standard laboratory techniques- Some marketing experience would be an advantage, but an outgoing personality, a desire to learn and enthusiasm to move into this sector is essential- Some customer facing / customer service experience is preferable, but this can be from a different industryThis is an excellent opportunity so if you think you have the skills and experience to add to our team as our Technical Marketing Specialist, please click ‘Apply’ to submit your application to us.
