Job Description

We have partnered with a Cambridge-based biotech organisation who have recently closed a significant round of funding. As a result, they are looking to hire a Technical Lead.They are working on a disruptive piece of technology that is set to change the way in which scientists conduct their research.As the Technical Lead, you will join a multi-disciplinary, talented, and diverse group of people, working towards a shared goal.The Role: Technical LeadYou will work alongside the Director of Biology to plan and deliver a programme to integrate and optimise the assembly process.The wider team includes people from a variety of educational backgrounds, including; biology, physics, chemistry, as well as mechanical and electrical engineering.This role is perfect for an individual with solid experience of guiding an R&D team, whilst also being hands on’ yourself. This is an opportunity to provide your technical expertise, as well as guiding the wider team with your project management experience.Key requirements: Technical Lead

  • Solid experience of providing leadership in an environment whereby a product has been taken from R&D through to commercialisation.
  • Hands-on experience in molecular biology and biophysical methods for nucleic acid manipulation and analysis, including hybridisation, amplification, detection, purification, and quantification
  • Excellent skills in experimental design, implementation, troubleshooting, and data analysis
