Job Description

Teaching Assistant- Full Time PermanentSeptember start

  • Cambridge (Border of Cambs, Suffolk and Essex)
  • Level 2 point 6 (£19,698) - Term time only (38 weeks)
  • KS1 1:1 with SEN child
  • 8:30am-3:30pm
Reed is currently looking for patient and supportive individual to work on a 1:1 basis as a Teaching Assistant with a very sweet young pupil in KS1. Calmness, understanding and careful teaching will be essential with this child.The School:

people and expects all staff to share this commitmentThe Role:
  • Supporting a child with an EHCP primarily for speech, language, and communication difficulties.
  • To be able to work individually with the child as well as part of a small group
  • Provide general support as directed by the class teacher
  • Motivating and encouraging the pupil by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to their needs
  • Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies
  • To support in developing social skills both in and out of the classroom
What you will need:
  • To be patient, supportive and caring and have a high level of communication and listening skills to be able to take direction and give feedback
  • To have experience within a school (desirable but not essential- personal/relevant experience with individuals with similar difficulties would also be considered)
  • Be eager to make a positive, lasting impact on the lives of the young people and have a passion for learning
