Job Description

Our client are currently recruiting for the exciting opportunity of an experienced Store & Supply Chain Technician to join their busy team in Cambridge. This will be a Full-Time role. Stores & Supply Chain Technician Duties:The main responsibilities of the Supply Chain Storeroom Technician role will be to assist with the day to day running of the general stores facility, support with the lab Facilities duties and provide regular feedback to the Supply Chain team

  • Management and quality control of all goods received.
  • Ensuring all delivery documentation is correct and products meet quality control specifications and standards.
  • Ordering routine stores and reagent supplies, liaising with Supply Chain where appropriate.
  • Accurate distribution of checked goods within stores, preparing internal orders for delivery to the appropriate locations within the laboratories.
  • Checking all stored products shelf life and subsequently dealing with / recording all non-conforming products
  • Participate in all regulatory, quality, insurance and Health & Safety audits.
  • Ensure timely receipt of materials to support the scientific project schedules.
  • Carrying out regular stock checks, managing Min-Max levels against the Kanban system
  • Regular reviews with key lab users and procurement to ensure correct portfolio of products are stocked.
  • Manage day-to-day basic lab duties, i.e. (waste management, chemical waste and etc..).
  • Provide monthly reporting of metrics and KPIs.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training Records; updating and ensuring they are current and accurate at all times;
  • Support 5S on site and contribute to operational excellence projects where applicable.
Stores & Supply Chain Technician Requirements:
  • Significant experience working in stores or relevant role of managing consumables.
  • Experience in using operational excellence tools such as Kanban and 5S would be an advantage.
  • Experience using ERP systems to manage stock.
  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory practices with relevant training and qualifications. Ability to resolve complex issues with clear communications to external and internal persons.
  • An ability to work independently and collaboratively within the Team/Company
  • Detail-orientated to ensure tasks are carried out with high degree of accuracy and precision by self and others.
  • Customer-focused philosophy and approach.
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment particularly within ISO9001 and ISO13485.
