If you like producing high quality, high performance SW and solving sophisticatedtechnical problems, then we would love to hear from you.What you will be involved with:Developing, maintaining and improving existing user and kernel space driver components and deliver them for most recent Linux kernels and yet-to-be-published Android versions.This involves developing performance-critical driver for GPU hardware, including scheduling and memory management for Linux and Android OSs.You will provide the foundations that will make the Mali GPU implementation of Vulkan, OpenGL and OpenCL simply thebest in the market.Day to day activities include:Participating in all phases of software development - including design, implementation, testing, code review and documentation.Leading technical designs in coordination with Architects and cross-functional teamsfor new features delivery.Performing design and code reviews for other team members.Understanding customer requirements and aligning them with GPU roadmap.Working closely with other software teams to interface driver components.Maintaining the existing codebase:fixing bugs and other quality assurance activities.This is an outstanding opportunity to influence products and technology that millions of people will use around the globe years ahead of the product release!Education & Qualifications:Bachelors or MastersDegree (computer science or electronics engineering).Skills & Experience required:Expert in C programming.Experience developing Linux kernel components and/or device drivers.Deep understanding of computer architecture and embedded systems.Proficiency in problemsolving and debugging skills.Experience with version control and bug tracking systems.Excellent team working skills, self-motivated and results focused.Practical, organised and analytical approach to work.Desirable:Experience with leadership roles, drivingand coordinating projectsExperience with ARM embedded systemsFamiliar with Android system software development and debuggingInterest in graphics and compute APIs - Vulkan, OpenGL ES, OpenCLExperience of software development for a commercial organisation.AboutGPU Engineering Group:The GPU Engineering Group produces graphics processing hardware and software products for mobile, embedded and automotive industries.
