Job Description

Are you a Software Test Engineer with experience using Python in integration test of C or C++Would you like to see your work contribute to household name products across smart homes, automotive, and communications, as well as products that make a genuine difference to peoples livesIf so, this could be the role for you.Our client is a grade-A start-up. It is no surprise that they have 2 years of funding, with expectations of revenue generation in that time, and investors who are willing to add further still.The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and maintain the automated test suite, and write new tests
  • Effectively document test procedures and generate good quality bug reports
  • Develop effective test setups for a range of product types, from mobile devices, to prototypes to embedded CPUs
  • There will also be some manual testing
  • Collect samples to ensure the software is exercised correctly

Short term you will work remotely. Long term you will have a 50/50 split between home and office.Requirements for application:
  • Software Testing experience
  • Python for test automation
  • Experience with testing either embedded code OR a compiled language such as C or C++
  • Experience in a Linux environment
    • Beneficial but not required:
  • Computer Science background
  • An interest in audio, or experience of testing audio
  • CI/CD - in particular Jenkins
  • Scalable cloud technologies, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Github
  • Jira
  • Android, Raspberry Pi, embedded boards or other software testing on hardware devices
