Job Description

SoCode are proud to be working with a market leader in the field of critical communications. Their focus is on providing high quality products to a demanding, mission critical client base, which includes the police, paramedics, sea rescue, major airports, large mining facilities and utilities or oil and gas plants located in hazardous environments.We are looking for a Software Team Lead to Lead the PC Applications development team. This is a team of 10 Software Engineers focused on the development, integration and maintenance of their existing PC Applications and their future microservices based architectures and APIs. As a Team Lead not only will you have management duties but will also contribute to the development of these applications and products.What you will need:

  • Three years of leadership, influencing and reporting skills with recent line management of engineers
  • Strong C# including .net core developing scalable PC applications and backend services
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies including JS frameworks such as Angular or React
  • Webservices and REST API based Microservices
  • A good understanding of relational DB architectures, both RMDBs (SQL Server, MySQL etc) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud computing frameworks
  • A good understanding of DevOps principles, using CI/CD systems and automated test
  • Desirable experience: UI front-end frameworks (WPF, MVVM, or MVC)
The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £80,000 plus benefitsincluding flexible working hours.
