Job Description

Software Engineer opportunity to join a Software Technology company in Cambridge. Working in a small, focussed team, the Software Engineer will be familiar with working within an Agile software development environment and hold 2+ years of experience surrounding Javascript/CSS/HTML, C#.Net, concurrency/threading and object-orientated design and programming in order to develop internal and external facing PC based applications.The role will include working on activities across the full development life cycle. ResponsibilitiesTechnical skills and experienceEssential:

  • Familiarity with object-oriented design patterns and programming
  • Professional experience with Javascript/CSS/HTML and other web technologies
  • Professional experience of working with Agile (Scrum)
  • Professional experience of C#.Net
  • Professional experience of concurrency/threading
  • Professional experience of REST service design (e.g. Microsoft WebAPI, NancyFX)
  • A working knowledge of database design and SQL
    • Desirable:
  • Communication with attached embedded devices
  • Experience of technologies such as NUnit, T-SQL with SQL Server, WinForms, WPF
  • Knowledge of a range of database technologies (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, Mongo, SQLite, etc.)
  • Experience with JS tools and libraries (e.g. React, Redux, AKKA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing and Services provision
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. GIT, Perforce)
  • A strong academic record including good A-levels or a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering related subject
