Job Description

Social Worker/Social Worker Assistant - Permanent RoleYou must have or almost finished a Social Care degree to be considered for this role£10.85 - £12.00 ph depending on roleWorking in childrens supported housing you will have a team of people who you will support to ensure the home is a positive place to live.You will be responsible for

  • Health and Safety

  • Medication, petty cash and reporting

  • A knowledge of the Children Act, Leaving Care Act and subsequent guidance.
  • Ability to represent the organisation to external bodies and members of the community.
  • Ability to oversee and contribute to the management of the households.
  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Good standard of written and verbal English, including report writing and assessment skills.
  • A knowledge of the regulatory framework for Supported Housing (QAF & minimum Standards)
  • Ability to supervise and lead other practitioners within the project.
    • As social worker you will be registered with HCPC, for the role of assistant you will not be required to be and as assistant you will be expected to complete sleep in shifts Required skills
