Job Description

Snr UX Designer - Cambridge£60k to £65k basic + flexi/remote workingMy client, an international full-service digital agency based in Reading is looking to hire a Snr UX Designer, working at their clients site with a great team in Cambridge.They are currently looking for aSnr User Experience (UX) Designerwith interaction design skillsto join their fabulous team in the heart of Cambridge.This is a great opportunity for someone who is genuinely excited by being an integral part of a team working across multiple projects that span product and service.You will be working with the researchers, strategists, data scientists, experience Designers, developers and more across office locations and remote working locations to ensure projects are delivered successfully and on-time. Responsibilities Inform aspects of user-centred design including information architecture, task analysis, user flows, content hierarchies, interaction design, prototypes, personas, mental models, task flows, rapid prototyping and usability testingLeverage user research insights, business strategy to help create informed and innovative web/mobile/tablet concepts and drive them to completionCollaborate with researchers on conducting user research and testingInvolvement in workshops, research and testingMaking sense of the balance between business objectives and customer needsDevelop and produce artefacts across the full design spectrum as required by projects (sketches, prototypes, storyboards, annotated wireframes, experience maps and narrative)Be the voice of user experience in mixed discipline teams of researchers, service designers (and technologists)Coach and mentor less experienced members of the team to develop their skills in lean UX and human centred designBe able to lead and stimulate discussions about design concepts and approaches, demonstrating an ability to think creativelyEloquently and simply present, explain and justify design solutions and decisions to multidisciplinary teams Experience and skills 5+ years of experienceIdeally a relevant degree - HCI, Interaction Design, Usability or Cognitive PsychologyGood experience and competency across a wide range of design tools, design software, techniques, UX methodologies and processes - and know when to use them. You have broad experience across the full design spectrum but deep specialist knowledge of UX design and always ensure the highest quality output, rooted in a deep understanding of your audienceExperience of working in an Agile/Lean UX environment with Designers and Product ManagersDemonstrable knowledge and passion for user-centred design practices for web, service or software developmentWorking knowledge of prototyping tools such as Sketch, Marvel, InVision, and FramerInvolvement in workshops, research and testingImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
