Job Description

Senior Systems and Applications Engineer (Fluidics)| Circa £60k | Permanent | CambridgeshireWe are currently working with a well-known, Semiconductor company, that focuses on developing cutting-edge sensor solutions, that offer accuracy, reliability, and efficiency for clients in the medical, automotive, industrial, and consumer applications industries.This role focuses on developing cost-effective sensor applications with a strong emphasis on mechanical and fluidic integration. The primary aim is to showcase the clear value of the solutions and drive customer preference towards adopting these products overcompetitors.Package:

  • Salary circa £60k DOE

The role:
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of customer needs for sensor solutions across various applications.
  • Create and present application demonstrators showcasing the company’s sensor products.
  • Validate company-based solutions through lab testing, emphasizing cost-effective mechanical integration and fluidic performance.
  • Analyse customer-specific requirements and assist in the computational fluid dynamics mapping for fluidic design, ensuring seamless integration of company’s solutions.
  • Support customers during evaluation, diagnosing problems, and collaborating on end-product integration solutions.
About you:
  • Degree in relevant field
  • Fluidic system analysis, simulation, design, physical implementation, and testing utilizing tools like SolidWorks Flow, ANSYS, or COMSOL.
  • Electro-mechanical-fluidic system design.
  • Mechanical design using SolidWorks or equivalent software.
  • Utilization of rapid prototyping techniques including 3D printing and machining.
  • Integration of electronic hardware within application solutions and validation test systems.
  • Programming hardware with firmware and running test software on application test setups and product demonstrators.
