Senior Tools Engineer| Up to £70K | Fully Remote | Games StudioDo you want to work for one of the UKs Leading Games Studios Want to join a company who are passionate about building the most engaging gaming experiences for players all around the world Then this could be the role for you.We are looking for a Senior Tools Engineer to join the team, working on the development and on-going enhancement of the content development tools, pipeline and associated systems, ensuring we continue to effectively support the internal tools users and providevalue to our players/customers.Company Benefits:

Key Duties Include:
  • Design, implement and test core Development Tool features.
  • Gather and analyse requirements from internal customers - artists, graphic designers, audio engineers and script/content developers.
  • Work closely with the Tools team lead and other engineers to plan and execute the Tools Development Roadmap.
  • Anticipate, identify, and articulate problem areas and develop preventative solutions.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the existing systems and be able to articulate and share that knowledge with peers and managers.
  • Work with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and processes to capture and manage development projects, making use of these tools to provide reliable estimates and assessments of progress.
  • Adhere to and maintain high software development standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve daily tools development issues.
Essential Skills:
  • 5+ years professional windows development experience to senior level
  • Expertise and experience (2+ years) developing in (non-framework) Java.
  • Experience working on the tools for at least 1 released game.
  • Experience working on a pre-existing large-scale codebase.
  • Demonstratable understanding of the requirements of a game development pipeline within in a live service environment.
  • Someone with a keen interest and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Relevant qualification at degree level or equivalent experience.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working on a variety of game systems and integrations into 3rd party technologies.
  • Additional experience with C# / C++ would be ideal, other languages and scripting languages (e.g., Python or Lua) would be beneficial.
  • Experience of game engines or client-server and MMO games.
