Job Description

Scientific Professionals are looking for a Senior Research Scientist in the Cambridge Area to join a leading Biopharmaceutical organization. The successful applicant will form part of the Biochemical Assay Development Team.Position: Senior Research ScientistLocation: CambridgeSalary: 22-25 p/hEmployment type: 12M FTCWorking as part of the larger Discovery Sciences team, you will be focussed on advances in new drug discovery technologies across a number of therapeutic areas including; oncology, respiratory, cardiovascular and neurosciences. You will be supporting projects across the drug discovery pipelines.Role:Design, develop and validate biochemical assays for implementation in drug discovery projects (fluorescence, luminescence, mass spectrometry, biophysical)Work alongside the High Throughput Screening and Mechanistic Biology & Profiling teams Develop assays for compound screening and mechanism of action studiesImplement work-plans and achieve objectives to agreed timelinesContribute to projects through scientific meetings, presentations, and authorship on peer-reviewed publicationsRequirements:PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or related disciplineExperience in design, development, optimisation and validation of biochemical assays, with an understanding of the application of assays delivering mechanistic insights into compound mode of actionExperience with Mass SpecCell Culture and Cell Assay development experienceExperience working in external collaborationsIf you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
