Job Description

Brief OverviewThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor from a specialist sub-contractor background to join a very well established building envelope contractor.Package £70k plus £30k packageAbout our ClientOur client specialises in building envelope projects across the UK. They work on some of the most prestigious projects within this sector with values going up to £20milion. These projects could consist of roofing, cladding and façade work. Now they are looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.About the Role

  • Providing commercial support to Design and Contract Staff
  • Preparing valuations for interim application for payment including variations
  • Preparing, negotiating and agreeing final accounts and contra charges
  • Preparing sub-contract enquiries and order documentation
  • Re-measurement of Bills of Quantities
  • Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations
  • Preparing subcontract valuation and payment certificates
  • Monitoring costs to ensure budgets are met
  • Preparation of contract claims information
  • Evaluating/selecting subcontract tenders
  • Checking material sizes and quantities for procurement
  • Setting up and maintaining contract files
  • Reporting of contract accounts to Commercial Manager
  • Ensuring contract cashflow is maintained
  • Preparing turnover and profit forecasts
  • Carrying out tasks as assigned by the Commercial Manager About the Candidate
  • Must come from a specialist subcontractor background
  • Held a Senior Quantity Surveyors role for a minimum of 5 years
  • Must be able to work on own initiative whilst being part of the team
  • Must have the right to work in the UK or at least have applied for settled status.
