Job Description

Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate- Global Pharma - 12m+ Contract My client is a Global Pharmaceutical company, and they have a position available for a Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate to join their Safety team for a 12-month initial contract.As the Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to their regulatory commitment for pharmacovigilance. You will perform a wide variety of drug safety activities within the local affiliate, based on sound knowledge oflocal pharmacovigilance legislative requirements and company procedures. The role involves collaboration with other affiliate functions and also with Global Safety colleagues to meet business needs. This includes maintaining own current knowledge of and compliancewith local safety regulations, awareness of current prescribing information (e.g.SmPC), safety profiles and new risk information , Case management, assist with submission of DSUR and PSUR safety ,assist with submission of safety risk communications (e.g. DearInvestigator Letter, Urgent Safety Measures, Risk Minimisation Materials etc) in conjunction with Regulatory Affairs, Clinical and Medical Departments and more In order to apply for the Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate, contract you must possess:

  • Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline
  • Previous Pharmaceutical experience within post market and clinical trial pharmacovigilance.
  • Experience in case management and expedited submissions
  • Understanding of the importance of pharmacovigilance in ethical pharmaceutical marketing and development.
  • Use of MS Office products to a competent standard - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Safety Databases, particularly ARGUS.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong fluency in written and spoken English
  • Adaptability and the ability to deal with a pressurised environment
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to take the initiative
