Job Description

Senior Pavement Engineer - CambridgeOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Pavement Engineer with extensive experience in UK pavement design, pavement evaluation and materials assessment.We are seeking an individual who wishes to assist in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and demanding. The role would suit a self-motivated individual looking to advancetheir career in a dynamic team.,What you will be doing:You will be experienced in delivering the following:

  • Delivery of pavement projects, including investigation reports, design projects and site supervision.
  • Manage fieldwork projects including commercial and health and safety requirements.
  • Perform airfields/roads pavement inspection and report treatment recommendations.
  • Pavement analysis, design, material specification and reporting.

What were looking for:
  • Knowledge of pavement engineering demonstrated by experience of pavement design, investigation and research on road and/or airfield projects.
  • Knowledge or experience of UK pavement design methodologies and contract documentation, including MCHW.
  • Experience of pavement investigation projects for maintenance design and failure investigation.
  • Knowledge of materials behaviour underlying standard specifications.
  • Knowledge of Asset Management principals and the ability to understand and improve them.
  • Knowledge of roads operation, maintenance and renewal practices.
  • Working knowledge of the preparation of proposals and communication with clients.
  • Experience of international airfield/road standards is an advantage.
