Job Description

TEC Partners are recruiting in partnership with an exciting leading medical technology company to expand their innovative Mechanical Engineering team with a Senior level candidate.This role would suit a high-calibre Mechanical Engineer who is driven by innovation and wants to be involved in a fast-paced product development environment. The remit extends from initial concept through to introduction into manufacturing and the earlystages of product support.Senior Mechanical Engineer responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing the development of new drug delivery devices, from early stage product concepts to ready for clinical trial product.* Creating technical reports and design documentation ensuring that the content is accurate and informed.* Procuring prototype parts using appropriate manufacture techniques, such as rapid prototyping and machining.* Carrying out diligent laboratory testing, including creation of test protocols, designing and procuring test apparatus, analysis of results and report writing.* Developing mathematical models of system or component parts to understand the operation of new devices and to ensure that they will perform consistently in the specified operating environment.* Completing technical analysis of mechanical systems, such as tolerance analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)* Supporting and mentoring the development of junior engineering colleagues.
Senior Mechanical Engineer requirements:
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably in an Engineering subject* Project Management/Project Lead experience* Experience of using 3D parametric CAD system such as Solidworks* Experience with resolving relatively complex problems
