Job title: Senior IT Security Engineer Location: Cambridge Salary: £65,000 p/a Type: Permanent We are working closely with one of Cambridges leading technology companies and assisting their search for a Senior IT Security Engineer. The Senior IT Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring IT security good practice is followed across the organisation, and will contribute to policy and process enhancement to ensure a suitable security posture is maintained. For a seasoned IT security professional, this role presents a unique opportunity to join an innovative company in the heart of Cambridges vibrant and fast-paced tech community.Senior IT Security Engineer - Key Skills, Experience and Attributes Required: - Strong cloud security skills (AWS preferred)- Elastick stack, Splunk or LogRhythm- SIEM, IAM, APT, VA, DLP- Experience with one of the following; network, system and application architecture security- Experience across SaaS, IaaS, network, sorage, virtualization, firewalls- Proficient in Python, bash, PowerShell- Experience with automation tooling (Ansible, Chef, Salt or Puppet)- Windows and Linux systems administration (desirable)- ITIL aware (desirable)- ISO27001/2, PCI-DSS, or SOC environments- Ideally hold a professional security qualification (COMP-TIA Network+, CISSP, etc.)Senior IT Security Engineer - Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop network security posture to ensure ongoing protection against attacks- Keep abreast of emerging security threats and mitigations- Upgrade existing security systems through testing and evaluating new security products- Monitor systems for attacks, determine emerging threat patterns / vulnerabilities and investigate breaches of security-Conduct security risk assessments.A full list of duties and responsibilities can be provided on application.
