Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer | Cambridge moving to Northstowe at the end of 2023 | Full Time | £50,000-£55,000Our client is the top global name in photonics-based products and solutions from ultraviolet to infrared. Their products are designed to avoid wasting energy, improve process reliability and bring more innovation in industrial manufacturing, scientific andmedical applications.You will be responsible for the design and development of electrical and electronic circuitry to support our manufacturing and systems development processes.The company will provide a supportive environment where you can grow professionally and unlock your full potential.Are you the right person for the jobThe following criteria are essential for this role

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Experience in power electronic designs
  • Fault-finding of electrical and electronic circuitry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent team player
  • A willingness to travel and the ability to be flexible in the work you carry out and the area you work in
  • Attention to detail and a quality driven mentality
What will your role as a Senior Electrical Engineer look like
  • Lead electrical designs for new equipment
  • Creation, modification, maintenance and management of electrical designs including proof of concept
  • Provide electronic design support to a Custom Engineering team
  • Liaise with sub-contract suppliers of electrical systems
  • Support existing electrical equipment
  • Work with other members of the Innovation and Engineering teams to create the next generation of xenon flashlamp systems
