Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer | Life Sciences | Hybrid | up to £70k packageA world-leading life sciences organisation is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join one of their most exciting and growing teams!In your role as a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be tasked with working closely with other IT disciplines and business teams to accelerate the delivery of new products and features on Surveillance Operations programs and projects through automation and first-classinfrastructure technologies of application/software systems.Key Responsibilities

  • Promote ongoing adoption of Ops automation best practices, developing ideas for new features and reinforcing reliability by monitoring industry developments and trends.
  • Work closely with other DevOps engineers, software developers, system administrator and security operations engineer to optimize system performance, security and ensure development follows and established process.
  • Planning out technical infrastructure aspects of projects/providing input into product/project/management decisions including building/developing performant and maintainable infrastructure and tools.
  • Some management of legacy systems.
Key Requirements
  • 4+ years experience of DevOps and Agile practices
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code technologies (Terraform, Packer, Kubernetes etc.)
  • Familiarity with MySQL and databases
  • Extensive experience of cloud-based technologies and management (Open Stack or AWS or Google)
  • Knowledge of Linux Ubuntu
  • Experience with modern development practices e.g., version control, CI/CD, workflow management tools (Jira, GitLab)
