Job Description

Laboratory Solutions are partnered with a long term established biotech in Cambridgeshire who are leading the gene editing market and are currently looking to hire permanent candidates for multiple Senior Scientist roles in their Cell Line Development, due to a large increase in work orders!If this role maybe of interest then check out the spec below!Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to perform the required Cell Biology activities to ensure our client projects move forward within the expected timelines and specifications.
  • Analyse and interpret the results of such activities; identify and solve problems from a cellular biology perspective.
    • Essential Competencies & Requirements
  • PhD or Masters degree with equivalent experience, preferably in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry
  • Excellent cell culture and aseptic techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Experience with handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good understanding of Cell Biology in the context of cell line culturing
  • Understanding of Quality and what a Production environment is in the context of biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent organisational ability to plan and prioritise work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records
  • Team player
    • Desirable Competencies & Requirements
  • Experience with more complex cellular models such as IPSc
  • Good practical experience in Molecular Biology in the context of genotyping and PCR
  • Experience with flow cytometry techniques, western blotting and lentiviral techniques
