Job Description

Senior Backend Developer£70,000 - £90,000 per annumShare OptionsFully Remote workingWe are recruiting for a Senior Backend Developer to join a UK leading MarTech start-up undergoing an exciting period of organic growth. Our partner enables brands to increase content engagement and sales through use of their easy-to-use Employee AdvocacySaaS platform.The successful individual would be joining an innovative, young, and enthusiastic team who prioritise internal culture, and employee happiness. They offer 100% remote and flexible working, with no set hours to enable you to live your most authentic lifeboth personally and professionally.This role would be the first piece of the puzzle for the software development team as our partner continues to evolve and expand. You will need to have an appetite for collaboration and innovation in equal measures. You will have a desire to continue tohone and develop your skill sets and though no prior experience in these technologies are required, you will get the chance to learn and utilise - Kubernetes, AWS, Pulumi, RabbitMQ, an Kafka.Whilst this role will focus heavily on backend development you will also have an understanding of and a willingness to work on the frontend.TechstackFront: Angular2, React and/or React NativeBack: nodeJS (typescript) nestJS, micro-services architectureResponsibilities

  • Taking ownership for the ongoing development for the existing MarTech SaaS solution
  • Rewriting a number of existing services to utilise nodeJS
  • Becoming an SME for the solution and championing the future vision of the platform
  • Leading, inspiring, and mentoring the wider development team as it continues to grow
  • Working closely with the Product Owner and UI/UX Developer to transform customer expectations into scalable, user friendly functionalities that can be rolled out across the platform
Experience
  • 5 years experience in a backend development position
  • Experience in a small start up environment
  • Previous experience working in a product focused software company
