Job title: Security Operations Engineer Location: Cambridge Type: PermanentSalary: Up to £75,000 p/a + benefits TEC Partners are working closely with one of Cambridges most exciting and innovative companies and assisting them in the search for a Security Operations Engineer. With extensive experience of building and maintaining security systems, and deep knowledge of security principles, protocols and associated technologies the Security Operations Engineer will be central to furthering our clients information and cyber security security landscape.Security Operations Engineer - Technical Skills, Experience and Attributes Required: - Deep technical knowledge of security technologies and SOC tooling (SIEM, IDS/IPS, End Point Management)- Knowledge of vulnerability/compliance, patch management, anti-malware, APT, identity and access control management toolsets- Splunk, IBM QRadar, LogRhythm, Darktrace, Generic Syslog- Knowledge and experience of documenting security processes in accordance with common frameworks (ISO 270x, ITIL, COBIT, NIST, CIS)- AWS security / configurations (groups, subnets etc.)- Scripting (Python, Bash, Perl)- Experience of performing vulnerability tests- Knowledge of threat intelligence and alert triaging- CISSP, CCSK (highly desirable)Security Operations Engineer - Main Duties and Responsibilities: - The Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, detecting and containing security incidents- The Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for implementing and managing processes to operate within a Managed Security Operations Centre- Design and implement technical security controls- Develop a supporting function to the outsourced SOC- IDS/IPS and WAF policies/rules administration and maintenance.This is a critical vacancy for our client and interviews will be taking place as a matter of priority.
