Job Title: SecretaryOur client one of the oldest Colleges in Cambridge is looking to recruit a friendly, approachable resilient secretary to support a busy team.The office is a key administrative centre within the college and carries out a range of administrative duties for the College, the Chapel, its Fellows and certain key College Officers, including the Master, Senior Bursar and Dean. The post-holder works in ateam with the Executive Assistant to the Master and part-time Secretarial Clerk, sharing the general day-to-day management of the Office and supporting each other as appropriate. The College Secretary has a very varied role and interacts with people from a wide range of backgrounds. The post-holder reports to the Senior Bursar but will be expected to work independently on a day-to-day basis and take responsibility for managing theirown portfolio of administrative duties. These include acting as a first point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders and members of the public, carrying out certain regulatory compliance activities and administering certain key competitions,including the Research Fellowship Competition. College Secretarys responsibilities: Handle enquiries via email, telephone and in person with a friendly and approachable manner To act as the first point of contact for Fellows and visitors Annual Audit Ability to maintain confidentiality in relation to all matters within the College office Oversee the production of the College calendar Support other College Societies and Events as appropriate About You: An excellent communicator Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook 365 Great organisational and time management skills Team Player Strong attention to detail Good interpersonal skills If you believe you are the perfect person for this role, Id love to hear from you!
