Job Description

  • Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive art and design curriculum to students across various age groups, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging learning environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression.
  • Demonstrate and teach various art techniques, mediums, and processes, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.
  • Guide students in the exploration of art history and appreciation, exposing them to diverse artistic styles and movements.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them develop their artistic skills and encouraging them to push their creative boundaries.
  • Organize and oversee art exhibitions, showcases, and competitions to celebrate student achievements and promote community engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art and design education across the curriculum, promoting interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of art and design education, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and technologies where appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE or bachelors degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching certification or licensure.
  • Proven experience in teaching art and design to students of various age groups.
  • Strong knowledge of art history, artistic techniques, and contemporary art practices.
  • Proficiency in guiding students in the use of various art mediums, including traditional and digital tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to plan lessons, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Passion for art education and a genuine commitment to nurturing students artistic talents.
