Job Description

Scrum Master | Life Sciences | 1/2 Days a week onsite in Cambridge | £48,000 - £58,000Langham recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a high-profile genomics institute / life sciences organisation supporting science and governments globally in tackling a range of diseases including Covid-19. Our client is based out of Cambridge but the rolehas the capability to be worked on a hybrid basisAs a Scrum Master your role will be to manage individual product deliveries within the Delivery Teams embedding consistent Agile/Scrum Practices as they develop complex digital solutions for the application suites and any associated new products.Skills experienced/Required:

  • Experienced Scrum Master
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Agile and Lean processes
  • PSM or CSM or relevant Scrum Qualification
  • Serve, support and orchestrate a scrum teamto drive productivity, collaboration and deliver success
  • Demonstrateddelivery experience of complex online, web and digital productsacross multiple platforms and technologies with a thorough understanding of the full development lifecycle using the Agile Scrum methodology
  • Ability to work with andcollaboratewith software development teams, product managers, operations managers and other teams to ensure that we have the technologies and processes in place to allow our teams to work efficiently
  • Track and transparency provide resource demand and deliveryacross a scrum team to ensure delivery milestones are met
  • Experience ofAgile software development and testing methodsfor deployment in cloud environments
  • 1/2 days a week onsite in Cambridge
Role:
  • Ensure the scrum team follows the Agile methodology and the scrum framework, supported via appropriate coaching and scrum master activities.
  • Removal of blockers to successful delivery.
  • Promote Scrum values of Transparency, Focus, Courage, Respect, Commitment within the Scrum team whilst also acting as a buffer for the teams, removing distractions to delivery and interference from internal and external sources.
  • Facilitate organisation and Scrum ceremonies (Story Time, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives) in an engaging way that is not so much focussed on the ceremony but is focussed on delivery.
  • Build internal team relationships with Product Owners, Data Architect, Development and QA Test teams.
  • Drive consistent reporting on sprint activity to senior management in the context of the overall project deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement to ensure clarity of requirements and removing ambiguity to encourage collaboration both internally in the team and externally with stakeholders.Facilitate scrum meetings and ceremonies eg sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews
  • Lead on the improvement of practices within the team
