Scientist - Cell Line Development Cambridge Competitive Salary An innovative biotechnology business in the Cambridge area are looking to recruit a Scientist to work in the Cell Line Development team. They will be a laboratory-based scientist to develop in-house commercial cell line capabilities. Key Responsibilities: To develop and optimise a mammalian expression platform (CHO cells) to produce commercially relevant recombinant proteins e.g. antibodies cell linesEvaluating and implementing and troubleshooting new technologies including high-throughput automated cell culture systems Developing high throughput analytical technologies (Octet, icIEF, cSDS, etc.)Molecular biology and cell cloningAuthoring of relevant sections of regulatory submissions. Contribute and lead on-going process development within the groupJob RequirementsEducation & Experience:BSc/MSc or equivalent in cell or molecular biology/biotechnology Relevant experience in commercial cell culture in an industry collaboration or within an industry setting Strong aseptic technique Desirable Experience:Commercial cell line development for recombinant protein expression within an industry settingAutomated data capture, analysis and visualisation Experienced in small scale protein purificationExperienced in regulatory submissions processTech transfer experienceSkills: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, working collaboratively across the groupAbility to devise strategies to optimise expressionA high level of motivation, innovative thinking, flexibility to adapt quickly and a can do attitude.Ability to work to tight timelines, process several projects simultaneously and link effectively with project leaders and other scientists as requiredIf this sounds like the ideal role, please get in apply online.
