Within the Animal Sciences & Technologies (AST) Department, we support and drive in vivo studies for AstraZeneca in Cambridge. We conduct studies to evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of candidate drugs.Working within the AST team you will apply your scientific and technical expertise to deliver investigative safety in-vivo studies to support the discovery and development of novel potential medicines across AstraZeneca’s core therapeutic areas including Oncology, Respiratory and Immunology, and Cardiovascular Renal & Metabolism) enabling the progression of an expanding drug project portfolio. This is a hands-on vivarium-based role conducting preclinical research to generate data for a wide variety of study types.The role requires an individual with experience in a range of in vivo procedures, alongside the care and wellbeing of laboratory animals. Working independently and as part of a team, you will be required to prioritise your own workload whilst working as part of a cross-functional, multidisciplinary team.This role is in vivo lab based and is ideally suited to a person with either Animal related qualifications, A-levels or a BSc/MSc qualification rather than a PhD qualified Scientist.
