Job Description

School Recruitment AdministratorSalary/Rate - Up to £24,000 per annumLocation -CambridgeKey responsibilities:

  • To provide dedicated recruitment administration support and liaise with recruiting managers to ensure that the school’s safer recruitment process is followed.
  • Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media, such as recruitment websites, newspapers and the school website, trade body websites and registering bodies media sources.
  • Working with our Marketing Administrator to use social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships
  • Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work
  • Receiving and reviewing applications and managing the interview process
  • Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before the interview stage.
  • Organising interviews for candidates
  • Caring for candidates successful or not, through the process.
  • Informing candidates about the results of interviews
  • Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes.
  • Adhering to safer recruitment in education regulations alongside the Human Resources Administrator when the candidate has been successful.
  • Liaise with the interviewing manager to shortlist candidates and notify candidates if successful or unsuccessful.
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
  • Carry out duties in relation to the above as directed by the Headteacher or Principal.
  • Provide recruitment administration including candidate communications and screening
  • Effectively support the onboarding and induction process for new starters.
  • Maintain records, produce recruitment reports and manage databases.
  • Ensure all shared drives and documentation comply with GDPR and Data Protection regulations.
  • Utilise social media platforms for attraction and advertising methods.
  • Requirements:
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ideally have previous experience in recruitment or in a sales environment
  • Previous experience in an Administration role
  • Must pass a DBS check prior to starting employment
