Job Description

Robotics Engineer - 6 months FTCCambridgeOur client is looking to recruit a Robotics Engineer on a 6-month contract who can lead key projects from design to completion. Your main responsibility is to work on customer projects from the design stage, through to providing onsite support to Commissioning Engineers. After product training, you will be responsible for the electrical design and writing of control programs that utilize PLC, HMI, motion controller, robotics, servos, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Familiarisation with Yaskawas DX200 controllers, Sigma Tec PLC, and Fanuc robotics systems is preferred.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Accept ownership of projects from design to completion
  • Design control panels and automation system
  • Develop PLC and motion control software
  • Commission and test control systems and software
  • Provide written technical reports and other documentation as required by customers.
  • Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceFamiliarisation with Sigma Tec PLCs is required and Yaskawa robotic systems is desirable.
  • PLC, HMI, Motion Controller programming
  • Strong Electrical automation/control system knowledge.
  • Robotic knowledge
  • Auto CAD electrical, or Auto CAD, EPlan.
  • Shifts - 7.30am to 4.30pm with 1/2 hr unpaid lunch break Mon-Thurs and 7.30am-12.30pm.This role will be offered on a 6 months fixed term contract with the potential for future work depending on success.If you are interested in the above and have the skills & experience required, please submit a copy of your CV to be considered.
