Research Laboratory ApprenticeReference: PL32605Department: Department of Pharmacology Location: Cambridge, Central Cambridgeshire, CB2Salary: £17,205 per annumType of Role: Apprenticeship for 2 yearsThe role holder will be joining one of the technical teams in the department responsible for delivering support to research, teaching, infrastructure and ensuring health and safety compliance of the laboratories. The role holder will be involved in day-to-daytasks such as media preparation, chemical waste disposal, ensuring H&S rules are followed and that good lab practices are in place.Training for this role will primarily take place in the Department of Pharmacology but will also be shared with other science-based departments, in order to gain a broad knowledge of differing research support over the period of the Apprenticeship. In year2, the role holder is expected to work with increasing independence as knowledge and experience is gained.The appointed candidate will work towards a Level 3 BTEC in Applied Science qualification as part of the apprenticeship.
