Job Description

Regulatory Affairs Manager – Materials/ChemicalsCambridgeFull time and permanent – 3 days onsite and 2 days working from homeGreat salary and benefits which can be sharedReed Scientific are partnering with a global materials company based in Cambridge who have an exciting opening for an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager within the chemicals sector. This position will have hybrid working opportunities as well as theneed for travel throughout Europe and Asia when required. This business-critical role has many senior responsibilities making you an integral part of ensuring processes are managed efficiently and to the correct legislations.Duties of the role include but not limited to:

  • Recognising, anticipating and understanding global product regulatory trends to then manage all regulatory requirements
  • Be the “go to” person with all REACH enquiries
  • Ensure all chemical registration, importation and export requirements are managed effectively
  • Be company leader on EHS audits
  • Manage all banned, restricted and targeted lists for all raw materials used in company products
Skills and experience required:
  • A Chemistry related degree and an HSE qualification
  • Expert in REACH and a detailed background in product regulatory affairs
  • Strong understanding in (Eco)Toxicology and a working knowledge of TCSA (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to influence key stakeholders and decision makers
