We are seeking to recruit an Estates Manager to oversee facilities and estates services and to implement a safe and effective way of delivering estates work.hybrid working only 2 days in the office a weekThe normal hours of work will be full time, 5 days, 37.5 hours per week, between the hours 8.30 am - 6.00 pm.Client DetailsA social enterprise driven by its overarching purpose - improving oral health in our communities. We provide a crucial range of predominantly NHS special care and paediatric dental services across the East of England and East Midlands, from a variety ofsettings. We also undertake oral health improvement and epidemiology surveys. We are owned entirely by our employees, the majority of which are dental care professionals.DescriptionThe role will involve the proactive management of the estate facilities including supporting estates strategy development for all sites, ensuring lease and licence agreements are in place, while landlords responsibilities and duties are adhered to and liaisingwith key contacts to ensure work is delivered to high standards.The role will require some knowledge of the health sector environment and understanding of Regulations for the purpose of involvement in refurbishment, re-locations and new build programmes.There is also hybrid working. As you will be expected to visit all are locations on occasion, the ability to travel to all bases is essential.Expenses will be covered or travailing to all sites.ProfileThe successful candidate will be educated to degree level or hold an equivalent qualification/experience. You will have relevant experience in estates and facilities management together with significant experience in managing the compliance of building works.* Manage reactive work and proactive programme work, draft and evaluate tenders and contracts for refurbishment, and project work in line with leases agreements* Ensure leased property requirements are met including budgetary control, including responsibility for estates and facilities costs, budget preparation and monitoring* the authorisation of estates-related costs* Development, maintenance and implementation of Estates Management Plan* Represent at events and meetings as required, including those with property agents, contractors, suppliers and service providers* Build and maintain relationships with the property landlords, NHS Commissioning Groups, local community and neighborhood* Work closely with local teams to identify estates and facilities requirements for all sites* Respond to local team queries and requests* Setting annual budgets for estate costs of £4m including capital investment over the 58 sites in counties* Reporting on estates projects as applicable* Produce estate extracts for Board reports* Draft and evaluate tender documentsJob Offer
