  • Present and sell our Clients products and services to current and potential distribution partners and end users
  • Support national accounts and increase national account activity
  • At a local level, increase the independent distributor customer base
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets
  • Follow up and convert new business leads and referrals resulting from field and marketing activities
  • Identify, contact and develop sales prospects
  • Deliver and communicate any company brand-building or marketing activity messages
  • Build and nurture positive customer relationships along with quickly identifying and resolving customer concerns
  • Prepare and analyse status reports on sales activity and agreed on key performance indicators
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities as well as competitor information
  • Coordinate and proactively communicate within the company to accomplish the work required to achieve sales
  • Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, seminars and telemarketing events
  • Engage with Credit Control when needed to ensure prompt payment of local accounts
  • Provide on-the-job training when required
  • Participate in company critical activity if required such as new business and range review rollout or stock take
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager
Requirements of the role
  • You must have a good level of education including GCSE Mathematics and English
  • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Be self-motivated, organised and able to adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and interpersonal skills are required to interact with all levels of the UK team and customers
  • Ability to build excellent relationships
  • Willingness to accept new responsibilities
  • Be a team player, achieving the common goal at the forefront of your mind at all times
  • Positive attitude and a growth mindset
  • Previous work experience would be an advantage
  • Be well presented in personal appearance
  • Hold a valid full Driving Licence as the role involves frequent UK travel
