We are currently looking for a Python Software Developer to join a leading clinical cancer genomics company based in the Cambridge area. As the Python Software Developer you will be responsible for working with Head of Bioinformatics and IT departmentsto develop test strategies for our clients products and designing, developing, and improving automation scripts and testing environments.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Python Software Developer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. Working closely with the Pipeline and Software Development Teams you will document software testing plans and protocols covering software verification and validation activities2. Execute all levels of testing including system, integration, and regression testing3. Take responsibility for designing, developing, and subsequently improving automation scripts and testing environments4. Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders, providing regular feedback on software test progressROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Python Software Developer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in a in computer science or a related field at masters/post graduate level or equivalent experience2. Proven industry experience in within a software testing role. Candidates with experience within the life sciences, aerospace, automotive sectors will have a distinct advantage3. A working knowledge and practical experience of using Python within software development.
