Job Description

Elevation Recruitment are currently working with a well-established business based in Newark who are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their hard working but very friendly and down to earth team. You will play a vital part in the procurement processby helping the procurement team in the purchasing of materials and services for various projects and contracts. Responsibilities of the Purchasing Assistant: Help to contact a variety of suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain competitive quotes, ensuringcost-efficiency Responsible for creating and placing purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications and timely deliveries Collaborate with suppliers to agree on delivery times that align with our operational requirements Maintain records and keep work schedulesto facilitate efficient tracking of procurement activities Regularly update and maintain the Approved Supplier database, ensuring it reflects the latest information Ensure that all materials and services comply with health and safety Prepare and maintain suppliercost reports Liaise with all departments within the organisation to facilitate effective communication and procurement processes Requirements of the Purchasing Assistant: At minimum of 1 years purchasing experience essential Experience within an engineering,manufacturing or construction business Ability to prioritise work to meet changing deadlines Great team player High level of accuracy and attention to detail If you are ready for the next move in your career and match the above criteria, please get in touch!
