The School Office at this Cambridge Upper School provides administrative support to Senior Staff, Academic Departments and the Pastoral Team as well as supporting other departments during busy periods (e.g. Admissions). This is a fantastic opportunityfor a highly organised and experienced administrator to join this busy Cambridge School Office. The prime focus of this role is to support the Deputy Head (Pupils) and Assistant Heads for Pupil Welfare, Pupil Development and Safeguarding with key pupil processesand events e.g. pupil tracking; detentions; lateness; and events (tutorial evenings, prizegiving events, colours assemblies etc), as well as being the main point of contact for parents and pupils.The Pupil Administrator will also support the Prefect Coordinator and Charities Committee.This role is available on a full time or job share basis, term time only plus an additional 3 weeks to be worked in the holidays, as follows: two weeks at the start of the Summer holiday and one week at the end of the Summer holiday.Essential skills please: Proven successful experience of working in a fast-paced administrative role with changing priorities A strong customer service ethos and an excellent telephone manner A high degree of accuracy, close attention to detail and a conscientious approach Excellent organisational skills; the ability to plan and prioritise, whilst multi-tasking across a range of areas of responsibility Well-developed written communication skills, with an excellent standard of literacy Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior staff, parents, pupils and external bodies, handling confidential matters with tact and discretion Well-developed ICT skills with a strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and databases Initiative and practical problem-solving ability; a flexible approach Confidence working under your own initiative and as part of a team Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressurePlease call Julie for more information!
