Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting project co-ordination role working with innovators within an inspiring, world-leading organisation Do you want to contribute to our mission to create a more sustainable economyThe University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is a globally influential institute within the University of Cambridge working on a mission to develop leadership and solutions towards a sustainable economy.The Innovation Team engages with entrepreneurs and startups to help catalyse leadership and foster sustainable innovation in order to accelerate solutions to global challenges. Our Canopy workspace and entrepreneur community provides the space, support andnetworks for innovations in sustainability to thrive and grow. Our programmes support ambitious and innovative entrepreneurs by enabling them to transform their ideas into sustainable businesses through workshops, coaching and mentoring. This new role focuseson supporting our programmes, in particular pre-incubation and early stage entrepreneurship activities.The roleAs Project Coordinator you will provide the key administrative support to ensure that programmes are delivered in a timely and efficient manner, achieve their objectives and are to a high standard. Working on different projects you will coordinate work witha range of innovators, offering excellent service and interactions with a range of people including faculty and contributors. If you can apply your experience and skills to help us influence a range of innovators, then we can offer you a unique opportunityto support an exciting portfolio of programmes that help them grapple a growing number of global challenges. We are looking for candidates who are interested in sustainability and committed to the values that underpin CISLs work.In addition, you should be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • Educated to at least A Level or NVQ level 3 or equivalent standard or level of relevant practical experience.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience of event management and logistics and/or project coordination.
  • Experience of supporting the financial aspects of projects and financial procedures.
  • Experience developing high levels of trust and credibility in relationships with internal and external stakeholders from varying backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in CISL missions to support a sustainable society.
