Project AccountantCentral Cambridge£40,000-£45,000 per annumA popular Cambridge city centre employer currently require an experienced ProjectAccountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis.Initially this role will focus on Cost of Sales and Projects module within the newly implemented ERP system, however it isexpected that the role willevolve to focus on all aspects of General Ledger & ERP module based reconciliations.Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Project Accountant will take responsibility forthe following:Reconciliation of projects module to General LedgerAssisting with the development of reports to allow users and divisional finance to reconcile cost of salesTalking to business users and explaining in non-financial terms the position of their projectProcessing of Project AdjustmentsProject and General Ledger JournalsReviewing Aged DisbursementsProcessing the month end WIP and project GRNI journalsManaging the reallocation and update of projectsSupport the team in query resolution and posting correcting journals if requiredSupportingthe Finance Manager as requiredThis client is looking for an experienced and confident individual, either ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience. Experience using MS Dynamics would be advantageous, however any ERP system experience will be considered.Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with all levels of management - this role will require considerable contact with Director level staff.This client is also specifically looking for the following experience, skills and attributes:Strong Excel skills (VLookups / SUMIF / Pivot tables)Solid double entry and investigation skillsStrong communication skills / ability to work well with others and explain transactions, liaising with staff at all levels across the organisation both finance and non-finance usersStrong people & task management skillsExperience of working in a busy accounts departmentFamiliarity with month-end routines and strict deadlinesThis is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected, national organisation at an exciting time in their growth.
