Job Description

Programme Manager - Carers Strategy ImplementationCambridgeshire, UKAs part of our ongoing efforts, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager to lead the implementation of our Carers Strategy.Hybrid - occasional travel to office or community locations across Cambridgeshire.Main office location - New Shire Hall, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon£450 - £500 per day, Inside IR35.Overview:As a Programme Manager - Carers Strategy Implementation, you will be expected to, Establish and manage a programme to implement an all-age Carers strategy within the local authority (and in collaboration with people with lived experience and partner stakeholders)Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the Carers Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key areas for improvement in carer support services and develop innovative solutions to address them.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track progress against key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and support to a multi-disciplinary team of professionals working on carers issues.
  • Act as a champion for carers, advocating for their rights and representing their interests at local, regional, and national levels.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in programme or project management, preferably within the healthcare or social services sector.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with a track record of delivering results in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting carers and a commitment to improving their experiences and outcomes.
  • Experience working in partnership with local authorities, healthcare providers, and voluntary sector organizations.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in a related field is desirable.
