Job Description

About youWe are looking for a Programme Manager to join our Programme Management team. You will be an experienced professional and will be responsible for the commercial delivery of revenue-generating programmes of work and customer relationship management.Main Responsibilities

  • Planning and monitoring resource use on the programme and agreeing on resource allocation with Engineering Group Managers
  • Ensuring the delivery of targets to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget and in accordance with the programme plan
  • Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise
  • Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programmes individual projects
  • Managing communications with all stakeholders, including reporting to the Exec Team and Board
  • Accountable for the programmes commercial and customer relationships, including identifying new opportunities
  • Cost management
  • Plan and design the programme and proactively monitor its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Managing the customers and programme objectives ensuring alignment with corporate goals
  • Adhere to the life cycle management framework to ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing internally and externally on the consistency of the programme and on its coherence with the overall plan and with otherprogrammes and corporate, technical standards
  • Managing risks to the programmes successful outcome
  • Programme risk management
  • Internal and external reporting on project status
  • Responsible for developing CCM and handset opportunities for the actuator licensee (major handset opportunities will become separate programmes)
  • Drive a multi-disciplinary programme engineering team
  • Co-ordinating technical teams, building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
Essential & Desirable Skills / Experience:
  • A degree in an engineering discipline
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals including mechanical, electronic, control and software elements
  • Minimum of 3 years delivering successful projects, ideally with experience of introducing new products into the market
  • Experience of communicating, showing initiative, making decisions and presenting confidently
  • Ability to prioritise activities, balance long and short-term objectives and find efficient ways to solve problems.
  • Good customer-facing skills
  • Good understanding of the project, risk management and customer management
  • Exhibit gravitas and able to influence partners and customers to achieve successful outcomes

  • Have a positive and can-do attitude
  • Able to travel to America or Asia on a frequent basis
