Job Description

Production Scientist:TEC Partners are pleased to be recruiting a Production Scientist for a high growth digital in-vitro diagnostics start-up to join their expanding team following a recent round of successful funding. Aiming to improve global health through a digital platformallowing easy and immediate blood testing, health assessment and follow-on care to implement lasting change within the medical device sector.Production Scientist Role: You will be part of the team responsible for transitioning products from R&D to production to launch within the regulated laboratory based in Cambridge. Cycle management projects for their existing brands bringing new innovations to their product line. Experienceoperating in a commercial production environment and a background in surface chemistry is crucial. Conducting experiments, analyse and interpret results independently will be a required so direct experience is required.Production Scientist Responsibilities:

  • Conducting scientific experiments to improve existing technologies
  • Responsible for production validation and verification experiments
  • Responsible for in-process QC experiments
  • Responsible for low-volume production
  • Member of team transfer technology to out-sourcing providers
  • Lab management (GLP and ISO 13485 standards to follow)
  • Scientific contributor analysing and presenting data results internally at R&D meetings
  • Presenting results and performing demonstrations to partners, clients and investors
Production Scientist Qualifications/Experience:
  • PhD preferred
  • Degree in chemistry is essential - knowledge of surface chemistry is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a manufacturing with diagnostic or medical device companies
  • Proficiency in quality systems (ISO 13485), associated documentation and processes
  • Knowledge of IVD industry and regulations (IVDD and IVDR)
  • Experience in lateral flow device is a plus
  • Driven, motivated and organised
  • Working independently with a high level of accountability
