Job Description

We are looking to hire a Production Manager for a leading manufacturer of complex special purpose instrumentation in Cambridgeshire who are growing their portfolio of products. The Production Manager will be an important and integral part of the innovativeteam responsible for running the manufacturing facilities and production activities.You can expect an excellent work environment, competitive salary and benefits package at a company who are committed to investing in its people. The company is growing and has a very bright future!Production Manager`s Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and coordinating production schedule, assembly, testing, quality, logistics, purchasing etc), monitoring progress against deadlines, liaising with other departments.
  • Managing planning of the personnel workload, allocating to projects, maintaining KPIs, development and implementation of operational improvements in the manufacturing team.
  • Managing Health & Safety and risk assessment of the production floor, personnel administration including recruitment, performance reports, absence, discipline etc.
Production Manager`s Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification / experience is desirable.
  • Manufacturing background, understanding engineering knowledge and principals, and proven experience in supervisory is essential
  • Knowledge and application of Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
  • Ability to use ERP systems.
  • 5S / Lean manufacturing knowledge is preferable
  • Electrical / test experience and use of SAP is desirable
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
