Job Description

Product ManagerCambridge (on site, hybrid & flexible working available)£50k-£65k (dep on exp) A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager to join a Cambridge based leading scientific company who are developing a revolutionising cloud based predictive modelling software set to change how data is viewed and understood in the medical andpharmaceutical industry.The Product Manager will work collaboratively with all areas of the business, as well as customers as part of the Product Team - to design, build and deliver software products that fulfil the companys vision.As the Product Manager, you will be an ambassador for the company, thus strong communication skills are a must - not only technically/scientifically with clients teams, but also commercially to wider audiences.The main responsibilities of the Product Manager are as follows:

  • Gaining a deep understanding of the drug discovery market to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that help our customers to discover new medicines
  • Creating buy-in for the product vision internally, as well as with external partners
  • Developing product positioning strategies
  • Translating product strategies into detailed requirements and designs
  • Scoping and prioritising products and features based on business and customer impact
  • Collaborating with the research and software engineering teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule
  • Driving product launches including working with the marketing and business teams, executives, and other product management team members
  • Evaluating promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product strategy and that the message is conveyed effectively
Essential requirements
  • Degree education within a scientific discipline, preferably Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • Recent and relevant experience within a Product Manager role managing software products.
  • A strong track record of successful software product management
  • Ideally having experience within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical - preferably in Drug Discovery.
