Job Description

Ophthalmic Product ManagerThis will be a field-based role - Full UK driving licence requiredSalary: Attractive with company car and excellent BenefitsBenefits: BUPA, 25 days Holiday, plus Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme (Comp 7.5% Employee 4.8%), Life Assurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance.A Product Manager is required by an established medical device manufacturer to and drive the general diagnostic range of their ophthalmic products and ensure that products support the Companys overall strategy, goals and targets.The Product Manager will work across Product Management, Product Sales, Product Development, Product Marketing and Product Education and Training.Duties will include:

  • Implement a tactical business plan for their general diagnostic range.
  • Secure and build positive long-term relations with all customer groups to secure short, medium and long term business.
  • Act as a product specialist with respect to the assigned product range (including their diagnostics product range and assigned 3rd party product range).
  • Attend exhibitions and seminars with the aim to benefit the business.
  • Assist the Sales, Clinical Training Manager, Marketing and Service teams in providing information, support knowledge and deliver demonstrations of the equipment.
  • Provide continuous training and support to external customers and internal staff for the defined product portfolio.
Required:
  • Ophthalmic experience - Essential.
  • Good IT skills is required including diagnostic application Software, MS Office and ideally Dynamics AX CRM.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Be able to identify and network, develop and maintain key relationships.
  • Ability to communicate with all appropriate internal departments.
  • Clinical application knowledge.
